I've been on The Laser's Edge website and it's good to see that they're re-issuing the whole catalogue of Danish jazz/fusion band Secret Oyster.  There is also an MP3 available on the site, for anyone interested.  Their third album "Vidunderlige Kaeling" a.k.a. "Astarte" has already been released, but their second album "Sea Son" is the next one to be released.

I know what I'm going to invest in.

I've known about them for ages, as I have Wobbler - Hinterland and White Willow - Storm Season.  Your link was of use though, so thanks for that.

BURNING RED IVANHOE was a very interesting Danish jazz-prog band that released 6 albums between 1969 and 1974.

In 1974 three of the 5 members leaved the group to form SECRET OYSTER.

Are these albums easily available as well?  I think I will definitely be investing in Secret Oyster soon.

Actually I wished they started chronologically .

Astarte is definitely their worse album. Weird way to start .

There was always confusion on which album was recorded before: Astarte or Krankenhaus?

Great band BTW.

Muchg recommended by the Trane

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I agree Hugues, I always like to start at the beginning and work forward, it shows how a band has developed over the years.  For instance, listening to later Soft Machine before listening to the first two albums would be a bit confusing, because they're quite a bit different.
