I voted Pendragon, it was a chance hearing of The
Jewel in 1985 that got the whole prog thing started
for me.............and I still love 'em today!

Yeesh...I can't find any 12th Night, so I can't give my vote to that. And Pallas has very few albums worth listening to. So it's between Pendragon and IQ. Ehn...Pendragon wins my vote, simply because IQ have only come close to making an album as good as The Masquerade Overture, and that is The Wake.

I like them all, but if I had to choose one it would be IQ..
Pendragon - good but eternally overrated coz of Barrett's awful vocals
12th night: great band...shame they could only keep it together for one great prog studio album.
Pallas - good and still are good. I would rank them 2nd, just coz 'The wedge' was not very good after 'The Sentinel', that was magnificent....i still love that cover!

Is better than Marillion anyway.

IQ is by a mile my favorite Neo-Prog band, but it's mainly from their post-80s work. Either way, they get my vote, though Marillion is my favorite Neo-Prog band when we restrict the time frame to the 80s.

Twelfth Night - the most obscure of them, but they were simply amazing, the best characters of Genesis and VDGG combined!!
And, Prog jester you probably by mistake allowed multiple votes!!
|
yet you still have time!
