Once I watched TV and a broadcast called "The 100 most annoying pop song". A pseudo-funny program, with retarded gags to amuse the public. They insulted every song at the beginning and than there was a TOTO song.
The insult was absurd...They said sth like "Toto, the college rockers". I can't believe how dull the media is sometimes, but even more harrowing was the audience which laughed. And Toto are not even prog, but they play them for a sucker, because they are a bit more complex and intelligent than all the other pop crap.

Dont try and understand it, you'll make yourself ill!

Just be thankfull, and proud of the fact, that you're not a mass media monkey, lapping up any old sh!t the machine spits at you.

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

i remember that show. it made me vow to never
watch any (german) TV ever again
(unterschichtenfernsehen! ) in fact, they didn't say
"college rockers" (an insult to any alternative college
rock band out there) but rather "school teacher's
rock music" which is (NOT!) quite fitting.

this may just spark off another debate about whether
TOTO have a place here or not. well, my opinion is
sitting on the fence...
progressive rock and rural tranquility don't match. true or false?

Well, this shouldn't be any "IS TOTO PROG?" thread simply a thread about this f**kin media and the trend of dullness in our society as well as the mockery of intelligence.

Well, I've watched that king of program too, and "Owner of a Lonely Heart" was quite high up that chart... I stopped watching any TV some time ago... Its useless... The Internet is still not that good as I would wish it to be, but at least its not that buisness-influenced... yet

Ahhh.. the good olé books...
