Yeap, they never released such terrible albums, but they never released anything even close to Foxtrot, Nursery Cryme, Close to the Edge or Relayer.

If it was only for those 4 albums, I still stay with Yes and Genesis, even if the rest of their production was crap (Which is not the case).

Aphrodite's Child is a one brilliant album band, they never did anything remotely similar, but 666 justifies all their career.

If I don't like We Can't Dance or Big Generator (Which I hate), simply don't buy them, but Rush never had an album as incredsble as the 4 mentioned.

I don't think that nobody dislikes Rush ... I mean, Rush has a big fan base, which has really supported the band over the years, and has grown over the course of almost four decades, including this one. Now, it is true that there are hardcore fans that may sick non-Rush fans with the way they feel about the band.

Personally, I'm a Rush fan...however, I probably cannot listen to more than two albums before 1) Geddy's voice gives me a headache and 2) the CONSTANT upbeat to ALL their songs begins to bug me (seriously, find me one Rush song that at some point isn't upbeat and sprightly - Losing It and Different Strings not counting).  That aside, can't say much bad things about them.

I only have A Farewell to Kings and 2112, and I enjoy both. I happened to be listening to Cygnus X-1 right now. Xanadu and Tears are my favorite songs from those two albums.

I don't find Geddy Lee's as annoying as people make it out to be, but he is far from an outstanding singer. He's ok at best.

I haven't heard much by Rush but seem to be a quite good band, and Neil Peart is really amazing drummer.

I dont love em i dont hate em, they are good but nothing more. I agree that they are great music players ofcourse and i have no problem with Lee's voice i think it sound preety cool. The problem i have is that they dont write very good songs. With thire fantastic playing and greater songs they whuld be realy something, as it is now and has been for 30 years they are yust good but nothing i culdent live without.

I like them though...much prefer them to the likes of Genesis, Yes, etc, but not up there with VdGG, Gong, MAN, QMS, etc..

Rivendel
The Fountain of Lamneth (has upbeat parts, but I'd hardly call them 'sprightly')
Tears
Madrigal
Jacobs Ladder
Wich Hunt
The Pass
Resist
Nobodys Hero

..

 There's always one, isn't there!

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

agreed with that,  I always found his singing more humorous than annoying.  I think the real ding on Rush, were  the horrid lyrics by Peart, great drummer yeah.. but not a lyricist.  Then again who listened to Rush for the lyrics ....

Not a die-hard Rush fan. I like some albums (from 74 to 81). Mainly Caress of Steel, which is an excellent album made basically with guitar, bass and drums, Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres. I particulary like Lifeson´s guitar playing that is heavy and creative (lots of riff changes).
