4 stars  —  Please, I´m CALLING ALL STATIONS, I want MANY TOO MANY to get this great little album. Right now I feel I´m INSIDE AND OUT, or like a MAN ON THE CORNER, because I don´t know where I could obtain it. I don´t ask myself LIKE IT OR NOT this EP; I´m sure that I really would like TURN IT ON AGAIN; PLEASE DON´T ASK ME why, but if you know A TRICK OF THE TAIL, teach me it. I hope that some day I could DANCE ON A VOLCANO, happy with my SPOT THE PIGEONS at my hands, feeling like AFTERGLOW. THAT´S ALL.

Any information, please send it at e-mail: [email protected]

GENESIS "Abacab"

5 stars   Oh you bunch of small minded cretins!!!!!!!!!! the whole nature of Progressive rock is to change and push boundaries. Are you seriously trying to tell me that this band should have gone on spinning out material that they were playing ten years previous and still be playing it in the early eighties....times change, and if the musicians are top notch then so do they!! Genesis had done the mellotron, twelve string guitars thing to death. Yes...it was brilliant...... and if you want to hear it, then listen to the early albums for god's sake!!!! Abacab was a brilliant and original effort. Utterly ridiculous to suggest that this band should have stayed the same as it did way back in the early seventies just to please old sticks in the mud...they would have never survived had they not the capabillity to change and embrace and experiment with new areas. GET A LIFE (that's what Tony, Mike, Phil and Steve would tell you to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! your reviews are pathetic and inaccurate. Five Stars

The words in bold are the only ones that describe the lp. That=6 words and thus needs to be removed as the rest of them are there to insult other reviewers.

I'm sure this has been deleted, but STEVE HACKETT in ABACAB??

5 stars   Where you were introduced to Rush is an everlasting impression. I was introduced to Rush with an borrowed b8-track tape of Hemispheres, and I left my heart in La Villa Strangiato. In my opinion, the pinnicle of that exceptional work between 2112 and Moving Pictures.

^ This isn't a review - it's a request for info on where he can get the EP. Quite cleverly written I think. Obviously the guy didn't know he should have posted it in the forum.

TERÇO, O "O Terço II"
Review (Permanent link) by Fabrício Alvim Carvalho

Undoubtless, WONDERFUL! One masterpiece of the Brazilian Progressive!
I knew this album after being addicted to Flávio Venturini's works and noticed meaningful differences. To start, it pleases heavy-prog aficionados. Some tunes remind the wild riff of Black Sabbath or the heavy-prog of Uriah Heep golden era. This demonstrates the strength of the pre-Venturini power trio, i.e, the band's core.
For all those reasons this album is worth to be noted. It's a pity that it is less recognized than the others...

Looks like someone got to it 'fore I did.  Bless you.

Not that I'm saying this is inappropriate, but I just had to share this classic review line with you all:

"If my pile of dirty clothes in the hamper spouted this stuff for 36 minutes, I'd seriously consider washing them until they stopped talking."

only on Prog Archives...
