so is it basically just networking all of our itunes or media libraries so we can all listen to it? Does this mean a program like OurTunes, where you rip peoples music off of itunes if they are on the same network as you, would work? |

It's not a file sharing site if that's what you mean. It simply displays what songs you listen to on your media player. No file transfering involved. It just takes the tags attached to the files and sends them to last.fm where they are displayed so everybody can see what you listen to. |

Submissions server has been down for hours. Anyone know if they’re
having any troubles? I’d hate to see the service just go away!

For people who use Itunes for last.fm, how do you get to install right? it keeps saying Itunes must be closed and it is closed.

Get rid of itunes? Failing that, it's possibly because itunes leaves some process running even after it's been closed, in which case you have to find this and manually stop it (although I doubt it does, it's not impossible.)

I have mine here: http://www.last.fm/user/Phoenix_/
The plugin sucks though. It worked fine for 'bout 30 minutes ago, but now it just responses with ERROR. :F I'm using Winamp. EDIT: I got it. It looks like the server is down. Edited by Gomurisu |

^ shouldn't be a big problem ... usually the plugin caches the information and submits it when the server is up again.

Well, I've joined the PA group this afternoon.
Hope I have something to contribute, because I don't listen to music on this laptop very often, whilst this is the only computer I use that has a last.fm plugin. |
