What about Friday the 20th then?

Let the cat herding begin....

I'll investigate (i.e. ask the wife) the possibility of a spare bed for those who might wish to travel from 'up North' should anyone deign to visit The Smoke.

Friday 20th should be ok with me.

Me too!

So thats sigod, chopper, Syzygy & Blacksword, which is a pretty good start. goose, do you reckon you'll be about??

We can agree on a meeting point, times etc earlier that week.

Any more takers for the 20th?? As Simon said, this is likely to happen more than once, so it doen't matter if the 5000 dont turn up this time to be fed..

Oops late to this thread!! Must admit the cost of Christmas has taken its toll.... I'd like to try and make it but I have child sitting obligations weekend of 20/21st. As simon said though hopefully this is merely the first but not the last!!! If I can force my offspring on some poor unsuspecting relative for the evening I'll let you know.

Can you cut out the Americanspeak?

I think you'll find semesters can exist anywhere, and my unversity definitely doesn't have terms .

I've realised the 20th is the evening after my third deadline, so I should be able to make it

At the risk of confusing everything, we should bear in mind that pubs and curry houses in London will be considerably busier on a Friday night. The chances of deep discussions on the true meanings of Yes lyrics will be hampered by the noise from crowds of City brokers.

Just thought I'd mention it.

To far away, a curry sounds nice but I'd rather go for a McDonalds or a take away

I'm not coming then!

What I was meant was that we might want to consider a different day of the week when things are quieter and curry houses are emptier and the lap dancing clubs have a happy hour.

I made up that last bit.

Personally a week day is much better for me.....but why don't you stick with the 20th and then next time we'll pick a weekday? Chopper has a good point about weekend nights being busy - and noisy!!

I'm sure there is a curry house that we could book a table in advance. I'll investigate some of the the mainline stations for nearby venues. In addition I may have a few prog mates along with me (maybe two or three), so that might swell the numbers up two six or seven.

I would suggest either Waterloo (South London) or Paddington (North London) as the most likely places. What say you all?

It's bound to be a sordid affair. Should we really take photographic evidence?

That sounds like a good idea Phil, if this works out I can see many more in the pipeline.

God help us.
