I guess this is the best place to post this..

I've just been speaking to Simon (sigod) and he suggested a provisional date for folks in the London area to meet up for a curry. Obviously anyone is welcome if they're happy to travel..

I know chopper, Phil, richardh & Syzygy have all been up for this for a while now..

How are folk fixed for

Saturday 21st January??

I'm surprised you had to ask! Oh, ok lets make it 2006 then..

So how about it, Nutter? Fancy spending £200 + on the train from Scotland for a Ruby Murrey and a few pints of Olde London Ratz P!ss. Be great to see you...

Andy,

I'm definitely up for it, but it has to be a weekday for me. It's bad enough travelling up to London Monday to Friday without having to do it on Saturdays as well!

I reckon a Friday would be ok..

Although I would prefer a weekend, I'm happy to be flexible if the majority can only make a weekday..

Where do you have to come from, Alan??

I come from the Essex end of the District Line, it's only an hour's travel but it's not just the time. I have to explain to the wife why I need to go out for a beer'n'curry with a bunch of people I've never met as it is , to do it on a Saturday which is one of our few quiet evenings together would be even worse.

The scenario.....

In a Bolton curry house 26 proggers arrive all at the same time.

Tony R, a natural leader, steps to the front and asks for "26 tables for 1 please"

 ...sounded better in my head...

Andy,

I live in Milton Keynes (southern bit of Scotland ), and if you guys to agree a date and i'm free i'd love to attend. I'll supply my own napkin.

I can usually get to London quite easily, but for the first two weeks of semester (16th - 3rd) I'm going to be rather swamped with coursework . I'm probably better fixed for Saturdays, but I can theoretically do any day, so long as I work like hell now (ha! ha!) so I can relax a bit by semester-time.

I'm good for both midweek and weekends. Remember that this needn't be the only time we can meet up so if some cannot attend, there's always another time. That said, if we can get as many people along as possible, I think the evening would be better.

What about Friday the 20th then?

Let the cat herding begin....

I'll investigate (i.e. ask the wife) the possibility of a spare bed for those who might wish to travel from 'up North' should anyone deign to visit The Smoke.

Oh dear, that's scarily close to my home town of Stevenage .

Can't make the 20th, though - clubbing in Gloucester at the time... great idea though. Do we all turn up at a local pub carrying copies of 'Foxtrot' for recognition purposes..?

The only date I definitely can't manage is Sunday 15th, when Guapo play at the Spitz. 20th/21st are both good for me, so I'll go along with whichever suits everybody else.
