'A Soapbox Opera'  sounds like a 'Queen' title?

bandname: one word german (has something to do with tobacco)

Der Tabak nach dem ersten Durchlauf in der Maschine

ABBA-solutely correct!

"A Soapbox Opera" it is, but it's a song by Supertramp.

T. Rox, your's has to be "Pig Farm On The Moon".

This next one is a song by Quintessence:

"We've got to get in to get out"

^ hey, Alucard ... one-word or two?

I'm going for one ... Pink Floyd's Ummagumma album.

I would suggest coarse cut is the literal translation. I just got lucky after looking up tobacco in an English-German dictionary, and then typing Grobschnitt into the same dictionary and getting the tabak reference at the end...

Where shag has been used here I imagine it has nothing to do with sex!

Here a really simple one: two-word album title...

Hey Al, "Going for the One" was the one!!
T.Rox, yours is "Floating Earth", I think.

Needless to say, I think, but this is a band...

Floating Earth is almost there ... but not quite  Album is by an English band (duo?) that features on ProgArchives.

And this one of your's has to be Barclay James Harvest

If it isn't "Floating Earth" (John Cage) what about "Floating World" (Jade Warrior)?

This one's a song:

I would say 'Saint George and the Dragon' but the 'Saint' doesn't seem to work. Solar -ar=sol

Ummagumma is right I always thought, that were two words.

song one word:

Hey Al, "St George And The Dragon" it is - the "Saint" is abbreviated, thus you have "Star" -ar = St

Still working on yours...

Well done, Krusty, after a lenghty check with my dictionary on "deer" (never knew it could be "stag" as well ) I come to the same conclusion.

Quite a long title for a short piece of music ....

'A Nun Suit Painted On Some Old Boxes'  good ol' 200 Motels, great title!

Krusty : Stagnation it was

BTW Guzz, I discoverd the word 'Stag' just by typing in 'Stag' and testing if it gave a pic!

BTW II: good resolution for 2006 : learning to use a  pic editing programm and applying T-Rox's infos.

album name one word:

C=G

Jade Warrior's Floating World is correct. I suppose I could have given you Floating Earth ... but I didn't know that album!

Alucard: your's would be VDGG's Godbluff

Here's another song title, seven-words...

"Without prog, life would be a mistake."
