3,000 CDs X $10/CD (very conservative) = $30,000.

I've got some 2000 CDs and 1000 LPs and 7'' singles. I think 50% of them are prog or prog related.

I stopped counting when it went into five figures.

As for the cost, someone once asked me how I can afford to buy so many albums; I just point out that I don't drink, don't drive a car and don't smoke...

67

I just bought two yesterday, rick wakeman "6 wives of Henry the VIII" and "Picturesque matchstickable messages from the status quo"

I'm catching up!

I asked Bobby Dylan
I asked the Beatles
I asked Timothy Leary
But he couldn't help me either

I have about 300, in a cabinet which will hold 400.

I'm not sure what to do when I reach 400....

...start getting rid of some, or shove the surplus under the bed... any suggestions??

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

295 LPs, 42 good CDs (I have a lot more that I listened to before I discovered prog that aren't any good), and a handfull of 45s and 8-tracks.

About 700 cd's (rock, classic rock, prog rock and metal) with plans to ultimately have a small shop size cd catalogue like some of the people here with 2000-4000 cd's. (As I am a book fanatic as well, I split my purchases between cd's and books, and it is very difficult to choose sometimes).

Oh, and more than 60 GB of mp3 which accounts for more albums than I jave in cd format, which I slowly purchase, since I find there is nothing like the original and real stuff you can touch with your hands and put in your cd player.

More than 200, less than 500. I have a list, but it's not numbered.
