Genesis definitely. .

I have a complaint though. Why are you especific about "Gabrielīs Genesis" ?. YES after 1976 played terrible pop. Not even a good one. Jethro Tull started playing uninspired music after "heavy horses", Led Zepellin after "CODA" is completly forgetable, Radiohead ??ĄĄ, was that a mistake?.

Itīs unfair to later Genesis. Peter Gabrielīs era only happens to be the period of time where Genesis was fresher and more creative. Where any band is more creative and original, which are their initial years. Plus, remember Gabriel hardly ever wrote a note for Genesisī music. ...Or, are you telling me he wrote Collins drums notes, or Hackets ?, Or did he really planed the structure of the songs along with Banks?...He didnīt, he wrote most of the lyrics and sang every song.

Itīs unfair that Collins receives all that critic for being the vocalist while new interests came up for every band in the 80īs. People should regard them better. No one seems to remember the crap others were doing by 81, while Genesis was still doing good music, while changing their style and sound dramaticaly

my God!... what cant I have an opinion now?...I just dont like the Collins era that much to put it as one of my favorite bands!...And whats that Zeppelin after CODA crap??? HELLO THERE WAS NO MORE ZEPPELIN AFTER CODA!!! NOT EVEN WHILE CODA CAME!!! Tha band finished in 1980 after Bohams death!!! Coda is a recopilation od B sides!...I tell you what!, why dont you inform yourself a little bit about what you are gonna call "completly forgetable"...cause it may not exist! asshole!

There is only one band you neded to put there...The greatest band of all time...The original...The best...The reality of all stereotypes...may I introduce you to...Led Zeppelin!

But Deep Purple, Rush, Radiohead, The Beatles, Yes and Tull rate hightly in my list but Led Zep come top simply beaucse they are the first band I got into and Jimmy Page is my guitar God, he is who I asppire to be when I jam on my axe (my guitar for the unanniciated).

Without Led Zep, Purple, Sabbeth you wouldn't have heavy rock/metal today!

With out the Beatles (you can include Crimson, Floyd if you like) you wouldn't have Prog rock today!

Definetly YES

Deep Purple and Zeppelin are excellent bands that would perpetuate an unforgettable and magnific sound but definetly YES is better...

I voted for Yes, but truth be told I like Crimson, Tull, and Deep Purple just as much as Yes.

I love all those bands (maybe Deep Purple only slightly less), but anytime I'm given the choice, I cannot bring myself to vote against The Who. Live At Leeds is simply put the most kick ass rock record ever made. Although in all fairness, Zep, Tull, Genesis, and Rush are all tied for first, too.
