Romeo plays with great emotion, who can say otherwise after just looking at his picture above?

Who is more genius? Petrucci or Shakespeare? Who is more emotional? Romeo or Petrucci? Not a serious thread, eh? |

I don't care if the poll is Petrucci vs. God, I still think Petrucci is better. |

Definetly Romeo, for me. He is among the best composers in metal, his
innovative sweep tapping technique is sick, he's creative and uses
multiple scales (instead of sticking to the same scale, like many other
guitarists), his riffs are creative and heavy (IE: Inferno), cool neo
classical flavor (though comes no where close to Yngwie in this sense,
IMO), and his solo in Accolade II is so f*cking good. Great emotion
indeed. As for Petrucci... from what I've heard from him, I find his
work sort of boring. And I heard one solo from him, which I don't know
the name of, which was one of the most untasteful w**kage solos I've ever heard.
Then again, I haven't heard much Petrucci, so I'm not sure what to
think of Petrucci, at the moment.

Both. Romeo has really amazing musical ideas, and very innovative riffing. Petrucci is more versatile and adds a Jazz component that I miss in Romeo's music, but Romeo rocks better. So: Impossible to decide. |
