36 - psychedelic and prog metal

One thing I have noticed in this thread is how young most people here are. When you are reading through the threads it is usually impossible to guess someone's age but in real life you know straightaway roughly how old someone is by looking at them. So the Internet is striking a blow there for age discrimination.

And I think the results might be interesting...

What were you expecting? I think that it's mainly young people that like metal. When I was younger, a lot of people I knew liked metal but slowly they move away from it as they get older. I am one of the few that have stuck with it. Maybe I just never grew up?!

I must admit, this has been quite the eye opener!!! Shocking to say the least, the amount of teens and those in their early twenties!! All this time, I honestly thought that PROG was the music of a passing generation. Fascinating, really. By the way, 46 and by far the preferred "strain"- Symphonic ( All the old dinosaurs- Genesis, Gentle Giant, Yes, King Crimson etc.)
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare if thou hast understanding?
