Greetings. Is there ANY serious prog rock fans/Collectors out there that have knowledge to share about the "Tachika"-Japan label? http://alanbenjamin.tripod.com/kenso_bootleg_announcement.ht ml My old band FLAME DREAM albums are released on CDs on this so called label.Give Thanks/God bless. Hello,
You have posted this message on every prog list I am aware of and on virtually every one, someone has told you that Tachika is a bootleg label. They are correct. What more do you need to know? If you're looking for contact information, as posted elsewhere, Greg Walker at Syn-Phonic may be the best place to turn as he stocks Tachikas (very unfortunate as he is otherwise an excellent vendor). |

Yes Tachika is a non-legit label, but I believe that the address given in Japan on the records is a fake one. The speculation is that this is a US collector making them as the similar but not quite as good Poor House label is also a bootleg done in the States. You might want to get in touch with the guys at Gnosis 2000 and mail them. There are a;so some writers of Exposé magazine owho are in the Gnosis admin team. I remember some conversation about those two labels popping up some 18 months ago in the forum . Some of the forum members might be able to direct you towards the culprit.
