Verges heavily on prog. Listen to the way the bass plays in counterpoint - classic Chris Squire style. The song changes and is split more or less into three parts.

What do you think?

C'mon! It doesn't have to be prog to have complicated parts. Stop doing that with metal, new metal,rock, etc. bands. After all, it's just music.

Yeah,I agree with Astaroth,this is getting absolutely ridiculous.Trying to find progginess in the music of Mudvayne is insane.It's just metal,nothing else.

They do have a jazzy bassist. One with very technical lines, lots of groove. So the rythm section is cool, but the simple shred guitar and songwriting have nothing to do with prog rock(metal).

they play a tight rhythm section..this is very obvious in the track Death Blooms

but i think they are not prog, far from being one...

They stopped painting their faces and don't go by the weird nicknames anymore.

And I love their album LD 50,Death Blooms is my favorite track.
