Im afraid to say I've never heard of any of them. They were all 69-71? That's
a lot of unheard masterpieces for 3 years. |

Mhh... seems like they were selling out the whole Akarma catalogue
in your hometown... Seriously, I only have 7 of these albums and I have heard very little of the others. I think I'll choose Spring. (what about Cressida, Beggar's Opera, Gnidrolog, Rare Bird...?) Edited by paulindigo |

Yes, I'll have to give their cd a few more spins as soon as I've finished with my recent purchases (Rush, Eloy, Anekdoten, Stivell...) |

I voted for Fantasy and Fruupp albums. Not masterpieces but very good symphonic prog albums. By the way, Fruupp did release 4 albums, all of them very close in style and very even. For those who don't know, they sound a bit like early Genesis which would be folkier and without mellotron (they use a Solina string ensemble I think).

Can't say I'm lucky enough to have heard all these, but of the ones I know, Comus - First Utterance just barely beats out the Spring album. Both GREAT. Is Artcane - Odyssee "forgotten" enough to consider? NOBODY talks about this album, and it's one of my favorites ever, obscure or otherwise. |

Spring's only album belongs more to the pop-progressive than to
the prog rock field, so I was slightly disappointed when I first listened to it, then it grew on me. If I had heard more from Comus maybe they would have been my choice for this poll. Can't find them in the shops, sh*t! |
