Topic: Blackwater Park review Posted: November 29 2005 at 09:03 |
Is this guy
Chinwag Shall We serious ?? Both his Blackwater Park and the In the
Court of the Crimson King review are some of the most absurd I've ever
read.

Those reviews are the results of an automatic translator ... I guess.

I doubt it from his Blackwater Park review. He claims that Steven Wilson is Dream Theaters singer and keyboard player, starts of saying that its a concept alum and then contradicting himself in the first line of second paragraph before carrying on saying its a concept album, though this last point could be due to translater.

I thought they were hilarious. Well, in the same way that punk77 or
whatever it was called website was hilarious... for being completely
absurd. Might as well get rid of them, seeing as how one's completely
wrong and the other makes no sense (I talk to the wind leads to metal?)

Of course the review is factually wrong too ... and it should be deleted because of that alone (Blackwater Park was Steven Wilson's first collaboration with Opeth).

Which translator is it that translates Porcupine Tree as Dream Theater?

I havn't read any reviews since some clown gave Genesis's 'Tresspass' five stars. The review section is a joke along with how they influence the charts!

Because Tommy doesn't think it should get five stars!

^ actually I agree with Tommy IN THIS CASE ... giving 5 stars to Trespass would only make sense if you could give 6 stars to Foxtrot.

I think the difference is though Mike, you can accept that someone else might actually prefer "Tresspass".

What's so wrong with giving Trespass 5 stars? It's a 4 star album IMO, but it's a perfectly valid opinion to give it 5. I know people who like it more that Foxtrot.

yes, I can accept such votes ... does not mean that I like them though. And I have problems with really irrational ratings, for example if someone rates Foxtrot 5 stars and Selling England 1 star. But we HAVE to accept these ratings, otherwise we might as well remove the entire rating system.

Well perhaps he gives every Genesis album 5 stars including Tresspass? There is alot of guys that do that with their favourite band but i have never seen someone rate foxtrot with 5 stars and selling england with 1 star and i doubt there is ANY reviewer that rates like that
