Anyone here the song Progressive Rock Medley by Ruins. In a short two and a half minute song these guys manage to squeeze in a whole bunch of bits of familar songs. They managed to include King Crimson, Magma, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Yes, and more.

Everyone should listen to this song if they haven't already, it's quite fun. If anyone knows it I'd like to see if we can find where every sample comes from as I'm a little unsure of some.

I'm a big fan of Ruins, and the Progressive Rock medley can be found on Pallaschtom along with the Hard Rock and Classical Music medleys. They actually play snippets of 39 seperate prog tracks, and the full track listing is included with the CD.

I'm not sure if the medley is available on all pressings, but it's definitely on the Japanese one.

'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'

Robert Wyatt, Gloria Gloom

If you check trading circles, there should be a show with it on. I can't access torrents on campus where I am though, so I can't remember where.

As a previous poster said it's on the Ruins album Pallaschtom. I think this album was just reissued by Skin Graft, so it shouldn't be too hard to come by anymore (especially in the US).

Forgot to mention, it's also on Refusal Fossil as a live cut. Refusal Fossil is also on Skin Graft, but I think it's been a while since it was pressed and so it might be long out of print.
