Remember how they were joking about Beer vs. Wine on the Symphony X vs.
Shadow Gallery poll? Yeah, it actually applies here. Gabriel by a mile.

Gabriel's probably the better singer but Fish has more emotion in his voice. Sometimes Gabriel sounds like he's just going thru' thje motions, especially in his Gabriel years. So I'll vote Fish

They sing very similar, that`s truth, but in a manner of solo career and in his previous leading band I must choose Gabriel, but Fish is one of my fav artist, but Gabriel is GABRIEL

Fish is a peculiar artist... but I don't like the fact that his voice sounds almost like Gabriel's (¿concidence?). Plus, Gabriel's solo career is far more interesting, since he went into a much modern style, and avoid repeating his previous line of work. Aaand... no, that's all.

¿Fish winning?... ¿What's the deal with the placebo items? Somehow it seems to me that the real thing always looses when it comes to race against imitations...

Fish doesn't copy Gabriel. He was slightly influenced by him for sure,
but he was also influenced by Hammill too and that is seldom mentioned.
He is not a clone or a cheap imitation of Gabriel.
Fish totally destroys Gabriel lyrically. Gabriel might technically be a better singer but Fish puts more emotion into his performances, IMO.

Oh, so when the question, "Who do you prefer?" is asked everyone must immediately vote for your favourite?

no match. Gabriel.
Fish has too much "strange" lyrics and failed a couple of LPs (suits, sunset on empires). While Gabriel NEVER failed an album.
