<DIV align=justify>   Can't be bothered writing a review.2 and a half stars.Whaler's Dues however is a classic. Buy it for that.Bid Riff and Mando I like. What else?Nothing much more worth listening to.Kissing WIllie?!!!!!! You have to be joking!"Rock Island" probably gets worse as the years roll on.Next year I'll give it one star.
<DIV align=justify>
<DIV align=justify>+Several other reviews

I am not sure this is entirely inappropriate. I don't know this album so after reading this, I got certain clue about it. He did not enough describe the album but surely gave an opinion, I guess. I am sure there are worse reviews on the PA.

and while managing to give most other prog classics one star reviews he managed to give radioheads ok computer 5 stars!

Haha i doubt he has even heard the albums he has reviewed i mean he has given most yes and dream theater records 1 and 2 stars and i dont belivie that he would continue to buy records of and artist that he thinks makes only 1 and 2 star albums

So id say TAMTAM is an excelent example of an totally unserious reviewer that gives out 5 stars to anything made of his favourtie bands while the rest is crap  (Althogh he has not cared to listen to it even

I am also a huge fan of VDGG and CRIMSON, and I even gave 5 to "OK Computer" too (don't shoot at me!) , but tamtam seems really to hate all other music, if ever bothered to give it a listen. But, as Easy said, probably no harm is done and no reviewing rules are broken, so be it...

Yea well i did not mind that he gave radiohead 5 stars, it was just the fact that he seemed to give so many prog rock classics 1 or 2 stars while radiohead got 5 stars...i found that a bit strange

Seyo, the words "Can't be bothered writing a review" were enough for me there. I reckon it shows a disrespect for the site and it's members. If he can't be bothered writing it, why should be bothered reading it!

(End of over-sensitive rant!Embarrassed)LOL

5 stars   Well... I tried to make a well-done review of this record, but I couldn't. The first listening of this record made me change my concept of 'listening'. Impressive, if this is the world. No more words. Just listen to it.

Doesn't say much about the music...

Olmpus' review of CTTE gets a bit abusive at the end regarding people who may give that album one star

5 stars  —  Simply awesome! Stupendous! Incredible! Brilliant! Unsurpassed! Sensational! Ian Anderson is a deity! GET IT NOW!!

WARNING: This review is written by a Jethro Tull fanboy. It must be noted that the reviewer owns all the albums ever released by the band. In fact, his devotion to the JT is so extreme that only does he think that Tull is the Best. Band. Ever., not only does he think that “Thick as a Brick” is the Best. Album. Ever., but he once described TAAB as ‘the pinnacle of what the Western civilization has to offer.’ And he wasn’t just speaking about music -- oh, no, he compared TAAB favorably to such achievements as the automobile, penicillin and the hoola-hoop. The reviewer also once drove 400 miles to see them live. Watching Ian Anderson perform even made him rethink his heterosexuality!

-- OK, that last part is not true, but seriously, if you’re interested in ‘70s prog, “Thick as a Brick” is one of the top 5 essential recordings -- along with “Close to the Edge,” “In the Court of the Crimson King,” “Emerson, Lake & Palmer” and “Foxtrot.”

In my opinion,  this review doesn't state much about the music  or concept of the album & is sort of "fanboy-ish" (even says so in the 'disclaimer' taking up the majority of the review). I will admit it is kind of funny to read though...

I think the Tull review should be left in, just for a comedy.

Should the ITCOTCK review be deleted...as it is failry misleading and quoting King Crimson as DEATH METAL is fairly misleaded although you have to farely daft to belivie it..

KING CRIMSON "In the Court of the Crimson King"
Review (Permanent link) by AP Russo
Posted 5:51:30 AM EST, 11/28/2005

5 stars   I found the latest review of ITCOCK by "Chinwag shall we" exhilarating... as if the greatness of this record should be measured on the impact it had on "AGALLOCH".... he he, Fripp may be really proud of this one About the "stupid, filthy hippies" (I seem to perceive a slight hint of anthagonism towards left-wing politics here, probably Emperor's fans are not exactly illuminated socialists...) that have been taught by Mr """""Fruup"""""" how to play real music, just grow up man, and listen to some more music of the same period, just like the latest Beatles and the Beach Boys (oh, I forgot, they probably taught nothing to the likes of MESHUGGATH or IMPALED NAZARENE). here, now I'm depressed by having to submit my first review on this piece oh history of 2oth century music just by aswering another one. Long live King Crismon. And, oh, by the way, I thing that Lizard and Red are even better.

And another review as a response to the previous one

cetainly a 5* answer!!!

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I don't see any reason to delete the first ITCHY review. There are over 200 others anyway, so anyone reading them should bet a good idea of what the album's all about. I will be doing something about the second one though, much of the content should be ion the fourm, not a review.

VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR Present
Review (Permanent link) by Braindamage @ 1:04:14 AM EST, 9/19/2005

5 stars  —  It was announced in 2005 "Present". At present, it is the latest work. Masterpiece that accomplishes revival of miracle by member of glory period. They are six new works produced in the studio and works of CD2 piece set that consists of ten live improvisations. It is exactly music of apart from others.

I'd like to know what the heck this is.  Someone tell me?

Sigh ... apparently braindamage is an enthusiatic contributor from Japan who doesn't speak much English and uses an online translator ... not entirely sure what do with this sort of review ... I think EL usually e-mails the reviewer ... I suspect he's sent in many more like this ...

Edited by Trotsky
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
