Of course it is cool!  When I wear my "Fragile" shirt, I can't keep the hot babes away!

Seriously though, I never hear people describe prog as uncool, because most of the people I know don't know enough about prog to decide if it is cool or uncool.

  Cool isn`t what others think of you ... its more about how you see yourself  

As Genesis once said ... I Know what I like and I like what I know   ... now to me this is cool 

the question was asked what do you think ? not what others think ...

It all depends on your perspective. I find music for the masses, the stuff on MTV, to be uncool yet nothing is cooler to me than a good pro album.

It really depends:

 

If a cool person likes prog, then it's cool. Think of some cool hippie chick that likes prog - thats cool. 

If a "not cool" person likes prog, then its not cool. Think of some fat annoying geek that likes prog - thats not cool.

Well.. I feel cool when someone tells me what am I listening and I say Genesis or Camel and they don't know what am I talking about. And its true that being uncool makes you cool, I say it on tv
