TOUGH CHOICE...I LOVE ALL THEIR ALBUMS...THEY NEVER RECORDED A BAD
ALBUM....BUT I CHOOSE FRIPP/BOZ/WALLACE/COLLINS/SINFIELD THE LINE UP OF
ISLANDS BECAUSE IT'S MY FAVOURITE ALBUM.

The 1st one. Great bunch of creative people!
But I have to say: Wetton and Bruford are two of my most favourite musicians in prog. Muir is an interesting musician. So it wasn't an easy choice.

what a band. It's very hard to choose the perfect line up because all of the
musicians that ever played in Crimson are of such high calibre.
I choose the Fripp, Belew, Bruford, Levin, but the truth is that any other
line up would also be perfect.

Defineatly 'Red's' line-up. King Crimson fell apart after that period IMO!

Although I like a lot the Wetton, Brudford and Cross lineup, you can hardly beat their first one, one of the best in prog ever.

Fripp, Belew, Levin, Bruford: IMHO the best sounding they ever were (especially live), and with an 'edge' to boot.

Agreed! Kickass lineup.
And, they're nthe only lineup to have recorded more than one
great album, thanks to the constant change of lineups in between their
other albums...

It's surprising that the Red-line up has been mentioned twice as the best line-up, yet it only had one vote before mine. WTF?

Hmm...looks like i must stick up for the classic 80s lineup (even though it has four voted already!!) Also, honorable mention for the Larks' tongue line up...great stuff.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Fripp, Wetton, Bruford, Cross, Muir is the most unique because of Jamie's percussion.

i don't know really if the prescence of muir was determinant in the realisation of lark's tongues, but that album is one of my three favourite king crimson albums, and that is the reason why i choose the fifth line up
