No...
In all serious both Underrated and Overated are overused .But a ban? Then we're just gonna start banning everything. it becomes hostile, we kill the jews... and the board crumbles and splits into two boards.I've seen it happen. When you start banning things like that, its the beggining of the end

I often wonder if these threads about "recommend me some symphonic prog", "are ... overrated", "compare Genesis and Yes" should simply be closed. Why? Because they are distracting people from the
REVIEWS
which should be what this website is all about. The time spent for writing posts in those threads would be better spent on some quality reviews for small bands ...

I agree, totally. They are overused, but if that is what people
want to discuss, let them... If you don't like the threads ignore
them. Granted I'm new around here, but the more people that
are here (whatever the reason) the greater the chance they will stumble
onto a review or just be curious to check out something they haven't
heard before.

No i agree totally.If im not interested in a thread I wont open it. I was jsut pointing out that they are quite overused, but a ban would do no good.

Bans are bad. They hurt free speech. They prolly wouldn't do any good either. But how about this: if any topic is made "This band is overrated" without ANY logic or reason behind it, (cf. Pink Floyd overrated topic) it should be immediately locked.

overrated". It'll be a weekly series devoting itself each time to a new
aspect of my very special musical tastes, and especially the things I
disapprove of. Look forward to lots of devastating reviews, personal
slights, and appeals for comrades who share in my own peculiar
preferences.
