   Hey guys,
Just wanted to post regarding a new prog act from Down Under!!! Alien X are a cross between Dream Theater and Symphony X with Liquid Tension elements. These guys have a HUGE sound. What makes them even more unique is that Alien X is made up of just 2 members who play EVERYTHING! Check them out at www.alienx.biz The samples are only 20 seconds long, however the album is killer!! The first track " The Drake Equation" is a 15 minute epic like nothing I have ever heard before instrumental wise! Truly a progressive album with an emphasis on epic melodies. Check them out! I am normally apprehensive about buying CD's from only listening to a few samples, however this is well worth it!!

	Listening to the tracks (which are very rooted in the bands you said: the guitars always remember Romeo's work, and songs like Evenstar are like Hourglass part 2 :D) I was wondering: this band would have far more impact with a voice. The last track convinced me: this is the best one (judging by the samples). Writing instrumentals is not like writing a song without the boring vocal parts, those guys can surely play but I'm not so convinced. However, I'll check out the cd.
