1 and 4 are close to my heart.

Anyone add any more to this list?

I'll try:

8. Work without wealth

9. Conscience without pleasure

10. Character without knowledge

11. Humanity without science

12. Sacrifice without meaning

13. Principle without thought

1. Wealth without work - Hmmm what would I do if I won the lottery?

2. Pleasure without conscience - Hmm do I have to feel guilty about smoking, drinking, having random sex?

3. Knowledge without character - Makes sense

4. Commerce without morality - Ditto

5. Science without humanity - likewise

6. Worship without sacrifice - Hmm why do I need to worship at all?

7. Politics without principle - Seems an impossibility as politics is always compromised by the opposite of 1, 2 and 4

1. God.

2. Allowing England to be so close to Scotland.

3. Scotland never getting past the first phase in the World cup, or European championships.

4. The homosexual James the 6th and 1st............sold the Scots down the river.

5. The Lords of Scotland who sided with the above.

6. England winning the world cup.......because they go on and on and on and on and on..........about how they only ever won one major tournament on the same ground for every game.

7. The corrupt Russian linesman whose guide dog barked that the ball crossed the line in the most infamous and talked about world cup final farce (see above).

1.  Beer without alcohol.

2.  Potato Chips without fat.

3.  Ice Cream without sugar.

4.  Hookers without teeth.

5.  Popular musicians without talent.

6.  The world without The Doctor as its emperor.

7.  The Doctor without 5 different women a night.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

My daughter came up with this a year ago, no kidding. She left the class speechless.

1. To See

2. To Hear

3. To Touch

4. To Smell

5. To Taste

6. To Remember

7. To Love

It's true. She couldn't remember the real ones, so she came up with these. Teacher gave her an A.

Of course as nice as this is, I don't expect much appreciation from the likes of Tony or Syz on things like this. They always seemed to have something negative to say about things like this. But it's not going to deter me in any way.

There's another wonder that's seems to be left out here by Tony, and that's the ego! And believe me, he's an expert on this one!

I'll give you most of that, but I think that in addition to number 3 on your list you should add Scottish goalkeepers - and that's one thing that definitely isn't England's fault .

Certainly not my best work, but I was having trouble coming up with seven.  My personal favorite is number 4.

Not sure where you're from but I'm gonna guess G.B., in the U.S. hooker=prostitute, and they are often missing several teeth.

Why does "x without y" presuppose that x is a desireable thing?  I could say "murder without an alibi."  That does not presuppose that murder is a desireable thing.

That depends on who you killed.
