What gig would you like to see?

Id love to be transported back to London 1966 to the UFO Club and be one of the first people to experience the then underground psychedelic band Pink Floyd with Soft Machine supporting.

Then can i be fast forwarded to 1969 when The Doors play Miami and see Jim Morrison expose himself

I don't like shows. I would prefer going ahead in time in order to hear all the albums which I probably won't have a chance to hear because the coffin is sound proof.

I'd love to be front row for the 2112 tour !

Also, some vintage KC shows, Red era ?  That must have been great !

If it's worth playing, it's worth playing loud!

I would love to go back to about 1970 and see Pink Floyd perform Atom Heart Mother live, horn section and everything.

I would also like to go back to October 15, 2005, to see the Opeth show I missed...

One of Henry Cow's concerts with Robert Wyatt, the Ayers/Cale/Eno/Nico June 1 1974 bash (with Ollie Halsall on lead guitar), the full 5 piece LTIA line up of King Crimson, the Magma Retrospektiw concerts, Chris Cutler and Fred Frith in Prague, Faust's 1974 UK tour, VDGG circa Godbluff. My first prog gig was Genesis in 1976 - I've always wished I'd been born just a few years earlier so I could have caught my favourite acts at their peak.

Seconded, but I'd extend it for 70-75.

Tull '72 -- TAAB.  BTW, does anyone know where I can find a recording of a live performance of TAAB in '72 or '73?

I'd go to 1967 and see everything that was cool for the next 38 years.

The Who-Tommy

The Who are undoubtedly the greatest live act of all time. They performed with a kind of intensity and energy that no other band can compete with.

I'll see you on the Darkside of the moon...

It would have been cool to see a Grateful Dead show when Jerry was still alive, and Genesis in their prime.
If anyone knows where I can get a copy of some Flute and Voice (Indo-Prog/Raga Rock) albums please PM me! Many thanks!

I would have loved to see Frank Zappa play live. Also King Crimson in their mid-70's period (saw them on "Discipline" tour) and I never got to see ELP play live. Would have liked to see Pink Floyd doing DSOTM or Animals.

But most of all, the original Mahavishnu Orchestra with Cobham and Hammer alongside McLaughlin.

Two bands I am grateful to have seen at the time...Yes on GFTO tour, and Led Zeppellin at Knebworth.

Lemme think...

  • ANY GG gig, even when they were on their last legs.
  • Samla Mammas Manna round about Klossa K.
  • Ditto Henry Cow + Wyatt
  • Hatfield and the North with Dave on keys
  • Yes on their Relayer tour
  • Banco at their peak

Oh, and a few 1000 other gigs.
