So it's going to have a concept on side two, just like Hounds of Love,
except this one's a double. I'm really looking forward to it.

Don't know about her new one, but think of a female version of Peter Gabriel (no, this doesn't do her justice)

Here's another "Aerial"-thread. I've written a (very) short description of the album.

Enjoyed the one listen I've had so far.Immaculate music, although not quite as stong as some of her other albums. That said its way better than anything else I've heard from anyone else this year so far. And there are several brilliant songs, especially the final couple of the album. |

i've listened to the 7 first tracks, and it seems a bit disappointing; hope i'm wrong. apparently the other CD sounds like pink floyd circa the wall! |

I've had about 3 listens now.Its very addictive! The second disc is superb and works well as a whole, while the first disc although slightly weaker does have plenty to enjoy.

Err ... no. "Prologue" => classical; "An Architect's Dream" => Bryan Ferry; "Sunset", "Somewhere in Between" => Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones (and "The Sensual World"); "Nocturn" => Sade; "Aerial" => Frankie goes to Hollywood (or any late 70s disco queen). |

I just got it and have to say I am pretty impressed.I do think the material on the second disc is a little stronger than on the first.

Richard sums it up: Addictive! I bought this album on Friday and it's been playing all weekend, and on my walkman on the way to work this morning. The whole package is excellent. The second disc is better - from a prog perspective at least. It's not as 'wierd' or experimental as say The Dreaming, or even the Ninth Wave suite, but it is full of emotion and atmosphere. It's the best album I've heard by any artist this year, in fact in quite a while. |

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!
