Hello everybody!  My band's guitarist has come to the conclusion that his Behringer 210 GMX combo is too digital-sounding, and that he needs a tube amp.  And, of course, he insists that he needs a Marshall.  Can anyone recommend a good, stury, loud, yet relatively inexpensive Marshall head?  And a good cabinet of any make?  Thanks guys, your help is appreciated!

make him sell all of his gear, his house, his mother and his car. That way he can afford a hiwatt, witch will beat any marshall....

Sereously, it all depends on what kind of music you are playing. There will be difrent recomendations, depending on what sound he wants. It also depends if he needs a 50w or a 100w head.

I'll say you'll be safe with any valvestate marshall if all you want is to get ridd of the digital behringer sound. Not as good as a full tube head, but definitivly better than the behringer. You should be able to get one for about 200 - 250$ at ebay.

Personaly I don't get the thing about Marshalls. They sound good, but I think you can find better amp at better prices, at least if you're looking for a real tube one. I would have bought a Kustom or a Sovtek instead. Maybe even a Red Bear. Morgan is also putting out a realy good, realy cheap full-tube amp, but I don't know if those are available in the USA.
It is said to be the first Test-pressing of the corean release??
