Topic: Musical neighbours Posted: October 19 2005 at 04:01 |
Hi everyone,
I'm not new here but I wanted to do a little experiment and thought this the best place to post it to avoid the wrath of Easy Livin.
Have a look at my ten favourite bands in my signature. Count up how many you like. The one who likes the most will get the much-coveted award "Bob's neighbour in music".
Good luck!
Bob.

I like 1, 2 & 7, but i'm indifferent about the rest.
We can run from Easy Livin & Tony R..but they will catch up with us in the end...

Wow 9! Either we have a similar taste in music or you like a lot of music. So the only thing you don't like is Marillion ... and maybe neo prog in general?

So you're quite keen on psychedelia then?

You can run but you can't hide ... unless you have a large cardboard box with a hole in the bottom ... in which case you can run and hide at the same time.

I like the Fish stuff too and lost interest when he left. I've got the new IQ album Dark Matter and it's great. I want to get some more IQ.

I love them all!!
No, I'm a liar
1-Ozric Tentacles - only got 1 of theirs, not enough vocals for me.
2-Hawkwind - don't really know them.
3-Jethro Tull - listening to "Minstrel in the gallery" today, brilliant stuff.
4-Dream Theater - not my cup of tea.
5-Yes - favourite prog band, second favourite band.
6-Marillion - don't like Fish's vocals.
7-Rush - brilliant.
8-Opeth - don't know them.
9-Genesis - almost as good as Yes
10-Ratt - never 'eard of 'em.

Yes I am intending to get Ever - it is a bit cheaper than Subterranea!

Well Chopper, I guess you're not going to be my "prog nearest neighbour" then! By the way, where did you get your username? Did you have a Chopper bike when you were a kid?

That's one reason why I love them so much. I'm not that keen on vocals. I am getting into jazz fusion at the moment as I found that it is mainly instrumental.

Not surprising. It is 1980's hair metal. They are in my top 10 at the moment but they won't be there for too much longer.
