DREAM THEATER "Train Of Thought"
Review (Permanent link) by ProgressiveVoyage @ 6:39:36 AM EST, 10/20/2005
1 stars   In 1979, Dream Theater performed for the first time an album they called Master of Puppets, later illegally downloaded by Metallica and recorded as a studio album. In response, Dream Theater released Train of Thought, to show that they were blatantly the creators of all of Metallica's riffs. Similar things happened with Tool and Muse.

So Train of Thought is A re-release of Master of Puppets.

Thanks
Again, I am too stupid to learn how to copy these crazy html format of reviews into this post box here! All I got after pasting is a plain text.

When judging the reviews, we the collaborators should check whether the text of a review is actually giving any valuable facts, arguments, opinions, feelings or reactions of a listener, rather than trying to "catch" how many stars is given. This is especially difficult when we notice a bad or stupid or inappropriate review of the album we personally love or highly regard.
Ideally, I would be the most objective when judging a review of an album I never heard before or even of the artist unknown to me. It is hard to be objective when you see a bad review with 2 stars of FLOYD "Dark Side" which I like very much! Is it possible to write an excellent negative review of "Dark Side..." or "Close to the Edge" for instance and give it 1 star? IMO it is, but it must be very intelligent and unorthodox one! Nothing is perfect in this world, but the question is does the Site need that kind of reviews?
Even highly original and humorous and extravagant reviews even if they do not offer a standard description of an album, would be desirable IMO if they reflect in original manner the facts of the album itself or the circumstances of its recording. Just for thought...

Dark Side of the Moon 1973
Major Release

Review by s1ipp3ry
3:48:50 AM EST, 10/19/2005

— After playing this CD hundreds of times (many stoned) I have come to the opinion that its over rated yes ... brilliant perhaps compared to great CD`s like Yes ...Close to the Edge or King Crimsons ..Court of the Crimson King, Dark side probably falls short however that said its still enjoyable my only problem with it is its to commercial and its the engineering that makes its so popular not so much the material (pink floyd are not progressive rock thats a joke) they are a glorified blues band with simple time signatures and depressing lyrics (not very profound) but still I prefer these guys to the beatles anyday!

I don't have problems with someone rating DSOTM 2 stars, as long as he/she provides some valuable arguments for doing so.

MEISEL, HUBI "EmOcean"
Review (Permanent link) by MJZ @ 10:40:43 PM EST, 10/18/2005
5 stars   Hubi's music ( especially from EmOcean) gives the true meaning of progressive to Progressive Rock Music. He is the BEST of the best. You should be open to buy this cd. there is no other like it here in this planet. I actually have to give it only five stars because this is the highest rating available now.

And apart from a one star rating only (no review) for another Wakeman album, it's his only review to date.Confused

Surely even an online translator wouldn't come up with words like gugguration and aborbinatic. Whatever happened to  the Sgambells anyway?LOL

This has to be one of the funniest, and most nonsensical ones I've come across!

WAKEMAN, RICK "Crimes of Passion O.S.T."
Review (Permanent link) by Gurgurione @ 3:03:57 PM EST, 10/18/2005

5 stars   Surely Wakeman's masterpiece in keyboardry and gugguration!!! There's no other else album which captures his master skills in an aborbinatic way! It's just fantastic and unbelievable... I can't see any album better than that in music history

not even the Sgambells ever recorded something like that... a masterpiece (and not only in prog music, but in the history of human expression)

It's a poor review, and doesn't comply with the guidelines.

I hear what you say Tux, but with the hundreds of reviews of that album already, that one offers nothing.

4 stars   Wow- I have to admitt:

I used to HATE Genesis- now I can't get enough of them!

This album is simply wondeful- its a piece of art! What can i say that hasnt already been said a million times over?

This album cathes me with its Lyrics- its emotion- the music seems timeless.

Although I have only listened to this album about 15 times- I know I will enjoy it a hundred more..

Thank you Genesis!

A review?!!?! I don't know.

though technical not a review but the opinion is clear and surely not excagerated

reviews are important, and those should remain the core of the site, but nontheless backed up ratings shouldn,t be discarded.

It is a very valid validation of the awarded 4 star rating

please worry bout the inapropriate ratings and leave these kinds of ratings (and their whimsiclism ) reviews intact.

I'm always almost unlucky _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Id5ZcnjXSZaSMFMC Id5LM2q2jfqz3YxT
