I was wondering what the conditions were for bands being taken off the Prog Archives. This isn't directed specifically at collaberators but anyone who can answer.

Normally bands are here to stay ... they won't be removed. Which bands would you like to have removed?

The only timew I have ever seen a band removed from the archives was when M@x removed Autograph from here. He seemed not to know it was even here and removed it promptly when he found out. Autogragh is a really cheesy 80's hairspray metal band that had no business being here.

Ah, it's not quite like that, Mike. I entered a band on the Archives, seemed proggy enough to me. They were "under evaluation" by 24 hours and gone in the next 24. I e-mailed the Archives to see why this was and never got a reply.

Only Max has the power to remove bands.

Given the power I'd probably remove 85% of Mike's faves.....

Nobody  knows them, i can pretty much guarantee that. They're a band from Leeds (England) called The Youth. Now i'm sure the name hasn't helped at all so i'm still unsure what it was that made them get taken off.

Is it worth just putting them back on the Archives? If they get taken off a second time i'll know when i'm beaten.

^ you can submit them following the new procedures ... the Band Admissions Team will listen to the samples and vote.

Or you can test the water by creating a poll about theml. In any casye, you should provide information about the band and, if possible, audio samples.

As Mike pointed out, follow the procedure explained here.  They'll be placed under consideration by the band admissions pannel, and if we do decide to reject them we'll let you know why.

TOOL ?

Funny,Geezer.Very funny.

No,if I am correct I think Mike is talking about Brainstorm and Masterplan.

I love Jorn Lande and really like Masterplan, but they are not prog.

I did a double take when I first noticed they were in the archives.
