For me this will be interesting as I know many people dislike Radiation whereas I think its great and a lot of people like Strange Engine which I think is poor.  Please post reasons.

My vote is This Strange Engine.

Ridicule is the burden of genius.

Why did you take the time to listen to all of them KeyserSoze?  What is it you don't like?

Radiation is just a tedious album in my opinion. I musch prefer Afraid Of Sunlight, This Strange Engine and Marbles.

No idea, Jools. My brother is their huge fan and I just don't like them. I've heard all their albums but never got into them, maybe Anoraknophobia is decent for me. I think their music from the Fish era is ok but I hate Fish' voice and it destroys the listening for me. And their music from the Hogarth era I consider as sounding still the same, quite boring. Ie. Cover My Eyes, what the %$#& is that? B-side of some U2 single?

Yeah, Cover My Eyes is the Marillion I don't like. The song Holidays In Eden is bad, too.

Voted for Anorak, really weak album. Radiation, .com and Anorak... - jus
about make a one mediocre album between them.

I'm a big Marillion fan (over 20yrs now) but they really have struggled since
Afraid Of Sunlight. Marbles is a very good return to form, just hope they
keep it up. Hogarth is, for me, the weakest link in the line up.

I know it's well thougth of by many, but I find "Brave" to be really dull and boring.

Quite clearly Holidays in Eden - a commercial effort to find new listeners, I guess. So mild, polished middle-of-the-road.

Yeah 'Holidays In Eden' was an abysmal failure to turn Marillion into an AOR band- one of the worst albums I heard by a major prog act.

Guys,

I agree, 'Holidays In Eden' has some truly horrible moments on it, none moreso than the title track, but surely 'Splintering Heart', 'The Party' and '100 Nights' has to redeem it out of the 'worst' catergory when it only has to beat 'Radiation' & '.com'.  (Anorak, I have mercifully never heard...).

Personally, I think .com is a godawful album without a single redeeming feature about it.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Another lazy Hogarth detractor who strangely seems to have taken the time out to listen to every one of the albums and learn them inside out yet says they are all the worst without any sort of reason.
