Topic: Favorite Dream Theater Song Posted: October 04 2005 at 01:27 |
So what is your favorite Dream Theater song??? I just picked 3 per album, one being the popular song, the other being other concert gems (sorry, i forgot to pick three from WDADU so i put Ytse Jam at the bottom), but i know there are so many more amazing songs. If your favorite isnt on here, sorry, just add it in your reply.

Of these Octavarium ... but A Change Of Seasons is still my favourite ... I've only heard around half the tracks here though

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

I've gone for 'Endless Sacrifice', but would also have voted for 'A Change Of Seasons', if it had been included...

Due to the fact of how Dream Theater writes alot of their music,
focusing on technicality rather than song writing, I find it hard to
pick out one song I actually like of theirs because I really value good
song writing more than ability to play.
However after very carefully consideration, I give this to A Change of Seasons, followed by Pull Me Under.

Okay...? Than this poll is obviously not for you. I think Dream Theater
writes very very good songs and I value song writing.
Back to the poll. I would have to pick Octavarium out of these choices I
think it's a brilliant song. But overall WHY isn't A Change of Seasons a
choice here? I think it clearly would be winning the voting if it was.

"A Change of Seasons" is my favorite Dream Theater song, but it's not in the poll, so I didn't vote.

"stream of consciousness" absolutely beautiful for an 11-minutes instrumental.
I appreciate its changes in rhythm and mood and in the end it doesn't seem to last so long.
In Octavarium I prefer much more "Panic Attack", Octavarium loses its grip after the 13th minute...
