Topic: Your favourite IQ album Posted: October 01 2005 at 06:57 |
For me it's Subterranea, although the gloomy The Wake I consider awesome?
And am I the only one here, who thinks that albums, that classic 80s neo prog bands (IQ, Pallas, Pendragon, not post -FISH Marillion!! and Twelfth Night!!) recorded in 90s are more mature and simply better than the ones recorded in 80s?

Ok, this is a very poorly devised poll.
Why? Because many people will go for 'Ever' or 'Seventh House' which don't fit into any of the above categories....personally, I go for 'Ever', but here is my list:
- Tales Lush Attic 4/5
- The Wake 4/5
- Living Proof 3.5/5
- Nomzamo 2.5/5
- Are You Sitting 2.5/5
- J'ai Pollette D'anu 2/5
- Ever 4.5/5
- Forever Live 4/5
- Subterranea 4/5
- Seven Stories Into 98 2/5
- Subterranea The Concert 4/5
- The Lost Attic 3/5
- The Seventh House 4/5
- Dark Matter 4.5/5
I hope this helps...

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

You've ruined my poll!!
But seriously, haven't you got the mickey that the point of it was to compare The Wake and Subterranea, which are considered by many as the IQ highlights?

I don't agree with your premise that people will think that those two albums are the best...and you didn't set up a poll which would prove whether they are or not, because you haven't given us any choice!!!

You should have given the poll a different name then. I've seen plenty
of people on this site say that other albums such as Seventh House are
their best. Personally I think Dark Matter is way ahead.

I, rather pathetically love their first album the most STILL!! For me 'Tales from the lush attic' is just perfect. Guess I saw them in '83-'84 alot and so it is always special for me because of that..
