No, having never met them, I don't "hate" them -- for all I know, they drive environmentally-responsible hybrids, and send their moms flowers and stuff.
I just don't like the sound their music makes.
Now, ask me if I like ANY modern metal....

I must be a Danbo look alike, judging by the Peter's comments...
btw Peter, you clearly have far too much time on your hands...can't your wife find you a few household chores to be getting on with?

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Well, I'm sort of a fanboy
Although I'm not sure about environmentally-responsible hybrids and flowers but I perfectly understand why you don't like them. I probably would hate them too if I first heard them in my 40's
so, do you like any modern metal?

No sir -- not a scrap. I was deliberately wasting your time.
Metal makes me want to commit perfectly ghastly, horrid crimes.
Aaaaargh! Make it STOP! Make the horrible noise stop! Make it go away!
BLAM!

I agree, it's all horrible, except prog metal and and the veterans, like Iron Maiden or Megadeth.
However, punk is much worse
