Topic: Ear orgasm, hhihiihi, take a listen Posted: September 27 2005 at 17:54 |
Hi
My name is Daniel Realphe
From Bogota, Colombia
I have a new Prog/power Metal Band in the vibe of Symphonyx, Angra, Children of Bodom, Opeth, but with a stronger hard rock and hard core side...
The guitars in this project are very well put together and arranged
We have our debut album out called "Before Our Eyes" thatīs currently being distributed by CDBaby
Please take two minutes of your time to listen to us at any of these links:

good effort, in your place i will try to find a better vocalist , and try to find a best musical direction.sometimes it sound like a senseless collage of ideas.
the band is: "Hidden Path" or "Daniel Realphe`s Hidden path"?

hey kubla
Thanks for the honesty
Iīm working on defining a more solid structure in the songs, but these ones just need a few listens and they are actually enjoyable after you give them a little time
Vocals need a little improvement, but after a few listens, they start to gain more familiarity, also working on that
Itīs HIDDEN PATH, but I actually did everything and yes, sequenced drums, but we already have the band put together and it sounds quite good I think
Thanks man
see ya

it sounds good!
maybe the production needs a little polishing, anyway, the overall result isn't bad at all.
hey Daniel, by the way, I use a RG 1527 too! great guitar!

You know Your way around the guitar, mate!
Cool stuff... The vocals don't bother me at all...
Has a symphonic metal feel 2 it

Like I listened 2 that bonus track, I had a feeling that the demos of Liquid Tension Experiment must sound like that!!! You play the awesome ibanez... The riffs have the "awake" feeling.... One problem: The material sounds a bit 2 chaotic.. Work on Good briges between certian song paterns & ideas.... And You don't have 2 speed all the time... Try working some slow & heavy parts into songs.... Keep up the good work!!!

Wow, was surprised. Great instrumentalists and all. Although Symphony X
and such bands are not my cup of tea, this got me pretty interested.
Maybe you should balance the heaviness a little. It felt like a long
show-off some times. But hell you've got skill. I don't like the vocals
but then I usually don't like power-singing at all so..
And btw, couldn't help but notice the timing error around 2:00, when
you're playing with distorsion (rather punkish) and the bass and
keyboard is about to kick in. I got hung up on that, fix it :)

As you know form your other thread, im a big fan of you guys.
This album reminds me a lot of WDADU. Too many ideas going on, untamed riffs, sub par vocalist...but POTENTIAL OUT THE WAZZOOO!
look at DT now!( or at least sfam /6degrees...)
that will be you guys in 15 years
or maybe i'm just an optimist

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.
