My feelings exactly. I love Genesis and Yes, and ELP does nothing to me.

ÄNGLAGÅRD
I don't hate them, and there's great elements in their music... But there's also too much annoiyng elements in their music, so I don't find myself listening their two studio albums very often, which I have in my shelf.
I would still recommend it to those who like symphonic OR NEO-PROGGISH music, like mid-70's GENESIS or something. heh heh...

Fish era Marillion (boring and so not anything like classic Genesis)
All Rick Wakeman solo albums bar Six Wives (boring and cheesey)
Triumvirat (just crap)
Jeff Wayne War Of The Worlds (cheesey plus any album with narrative I hate anyway)
Alan Parsons Project (boring AOR masquerading as prog)

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

I tried some GG, never really struck a chord with me, but it was alright. Same for Marillion and POS.

Oh yeah, and Opeth. I think their music is great, but the vocals.....ugh, sorry Opeth fans- here's one band that won't be gracing my album bookcase.

Most everything thrown out here i can get into. The only Prog group
that I can't in Camel. I can't even put my finger on why anymore than
the vocals just come across dry and lifeless. This also make the music
come across with a hook. Maybe in the future, it will just click.

Can't get into Genesis... though I expect someday I will.
Love Rush though... Sometimes I think these two groups are mutually exclusive.
