I've stayed out of this but I can't no longer this is very difficult but for sheer out and out ability it's a straight fight between Wakeman and Emerson and I think Wakeman wins.Just!!!!!!

anyone who doesn't recognize that Keith Emerson is the best Keyboard player has been smacked in the head with an old record and is still out in space.

I would say that Wakemen is probably the best all rounder and most technical player on that list IMO.
My favourite for overall feel, and sense of melody, good composition etc, would be Tony Banks
However, there are two keyboard players missing off that list who could possibly blow ALL of these musos out of the water, but I'm not stating that as a fact because I'm not a concert pianist, degree level music lecturer etc etc so I wouldn't know for sure... but how about ..

Does anyone here have a formal music qualification that allows them to make an objective and informed assessment of those listed??
