Yamashta again

My previous message was incorrectly shifted to the Non-Prog Forum  - I presume by mistake.  A couple of welcome replies later I can't find a trace of that thread anymore.

I've enquired about the particular album "Freedom is frightening" that featured Hugh Hopper, Morris Pert and perhaps Gary Boyle(?).  From memory, it's as prog as it can get, but sadly I haven't a copy to prove it. Have you? I'd love to hear from those who remember, please.

I accept your reasoning Snow Dog with some reservations. Since I haven't the opportunity to include the album in the Archives, I still feel that it's reasonable that someone else may. My contribution is designed to raise awareness as much as seeking further information and on genuine prog being made accessable to all. The reference that it's not included in the Archives gives the feel of a closed club, something I wouldn't support.

I'd like to repeat that the album is as Prog as it gets and ignoring it would prevent many from experiencing it. Naturally, without attention it may never be accessable again.... On this note, some 25 years ago I enquired about a particular album with the original publisher. Months later I received an unexpected Japanese copy along with a thank you note for reminding them! Yes, you guessed it, it took someone to raise the attention. That album is still in print! 

Yamashta's "Freedom is frightening" is worthy of inclusion here. Nevertheless, I take your point and assess my further involvement with the site accordingly.

You can create a poll about the artist in the prog polls section, that seems to be the best solution. Provide links to his homepage and - if possible - downloadable samples.

I'm not saying that it can never be added. There are many performers not yet included, it all takes time! 

It is not a closed club, you must simply push ypu're argument. In a different section though as no doubt this will be moved also.

Perhaps I got it wrong Snow Dog. In my innocence, I assumed that this topic was relevant to discuss on the Forum since it's Prog as opposed to cooking tips...  Next time I may try the National Geographic pages, hoping that someone there may point me to ProgArchives.... I am just a bit confused now as what is relevant to discuss here, you are nevertheless welcome to offer me guidance, but before that I may just carry on here while I can.....

Of my original Post - I assume - it's clear that I am seeking information on that album as well as raising awareness to a credible, but largely forgotten Prog piece. Part of my intent is based on the fact that many inclusions on the site are rather forced - albeit well-meaning - to promote Prog-ish works, whilst other undisputable works like "Freedom is frightening" (from '73) are virtually unknown. There is very little info on the Web about this album and if I had a copy, I'd be pleased to offer it for inclusion.

If I am barking up the wrong tree here and wasting your time(s), I'd offer a sincere apology.

I dare not suggest attention to it on the Archives, for I may have to explain myself - yet again....., now I am confusing myself even more - eh, back to the cooking tips....
