Today I had enough time to finally check out Hemisphere's claims about ICUPGRF ... didn't you once call them the best band in the world?
I listened to the poorly-played sparse Jesus song and the jazz meets Krautrock semi-obscene Dave Mustaine track ... Some elements of composition are interesting, the playing is uneven (and even) occasionally poor and the vocals are an awful Beefheat knock-off ... everything often sounds like a bad joke ...
the second track I suppose is some wierd sort of progressive rock ... but this is really not my cup of tea ...
since you asked ...

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

ICUPGRF are a great band. If you can't see the brilliance in their
comedic and musical subteties, you simply cannot be called a fan of
music. My band gigs with them all the time in kingston, and likewise
when they come up to Ottawa; everywhere they have toured they
have managed to build loyal devoted followings like no one else. Weeks
after an ICUPGRF gig the townsfolk are still buzzing about the show.
Their groupies are also unrivaled. Believe me, they ARE the next big
thing. If you dont believe me, just listen to the heartfelt crooning of
Nathan the Vangard of Christ in hip hopping jesus on n64, or the urgent
guitar wails of Brendan high templar on the true story of jesus. This
is a band for the ages. ICPGRF, immortalized in stone.
