Thanks for taking a look at the Baby Snakes review! But couldn't you just have moved it to the DVD, instead of deleting it? Or was the review bad? (I don't remember)

I see no problem with that review! Even if it does not really talk about the music , it says he loved Yes until that disastrous (for him) album. The fact that he never listened to them again maybe a little obtuse but I have no problem with this review.

Joren,

I can't move reviews to a different album to the one they were submitted for. I've e-mailed the reviewer though, and asked him to re-submit under the correct title.

Thanks Hugues, I tend to agree with you.

YES Close to the Edge progressive rock album and reviews YES - Close to the Edge (1972)
Review (Permanent link) by Hawkeye @ 6:26:40 PM EST, 8/31/2005
1 stars  —   Well, here is is folks- the MOST OVERATED ALBUM ON THIS SITE. Easy..no doubt about it. The "epic" close to the edge- starts as a headache- the 1st 3 minutes sound like a truck filled with musical instruments colliding with a wall- its horrible- not untill the femanistic vocals come in does the song take a slight change for the better. Yes- he sounds like a woman. The lyrics are not as 'deep' as everyone says- instead, they are rather basic- most liekly sophistcated to an 8th grader. Dont try to analyze "Seasons Change..I get up..I get Down" ust meaningless lyrics. The rest of the album is DULL- nothing great here at all- but a headache, and an oveerated pile of trash.

BLAH!!!

Probably not, it follows the guidelines. Its a horrible review and I disagree with every word, but he expresses his opinion on the album, and actually talks about music.

still, I would love to have it deleted

I rather enjoy that review, at least it says what the music's like

BJ-1, I disagree with every word of the review, but the reviewer has made an effort to support their rating. It's not a very good review, but I've seen a lot worse.

Tony, At least they complied with the 50 word minimum guideline!LOL

DREAM THEATER Images And Words progressive rock album and reviews DREAM THEATER - Images And Words (1992)
Review (Permanent link) by johnp1983 @ 6:58:35 AM EST, 9/4/2005

What's the common thought about anonymous one and five star reviews? Has there been a poll about them?

I have started to think, maybe they are inappropriate after all... Would it be a hard task to block them and remove those already done?

What do you mean by "Anonymous" Eetu? If you mean ratings without reviews, then yes there has been quite a bit of discussion on this, there a several threads about it.

This is something that annoys me even more than the missing reviews. The ratings are used to calculate the average rating, but they're not listed on the album page. They're in the database, and it would be possible to list them among the reviews. The name of the reviewer is an important piece of information which must not be hidden!
