^^Stevie Vai's Triple neck

Batio is so damn technically skilled at guitar. However Steve Vai should never be mentioned in the same breath. That guy is f**king amazing.

I'll see you on the Darkside of the moon...

Well, one of the fretboards looks fretless, and the topmost fretboard looks like an 6 stringed bass (pairs of strings are tuned an octave apart), it looks like it's missing a set of G strings (well, not missing, just missing a place to add them), and the middle just looks like a normal p-bass or something. So, that's probably why.

Now why would anyone ever need THAT?

Man you try finding a money polyester jumpsuit with matching pot leaf necklace and then explain to me why I don't need that!

Oh, but the 3 neck bass is kinda over the top...

a similar thread was done a couple months ago

Well excuse me for not checking all the way back to April every time I want to make a new topic.

just wanted to share all the pic/comments on that thread without reposting it all onto this one, thought you might like a look at what we had to say a couple months ago.

Ah, alright then. Sorry if I misunderstood you.

Nice picture of Vai.

The problem with Angelo is that he has no feel.

Do they actually all serve a different purpose or does he intermittently change between every neck just to show that he can?

Believe it or not that cheap trick guitarist uses every neck of that guitar in a song. I've seen it on my mate's VHS
