I keep running into this problem.  For me, Wish You Were Here, though Animals is still awesome.

I prefer Animals to Wish You Were Here

Animals by a centimeter

don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.

Animals is more consistant, and the lyrics are brilliant.  It is tied for my favorite Floyd album at the moment.

I had this problem for years as Animals is an awesome album from start to finish with great guiar solos (which i love) however I cant go past the beauty of Shine on and wish you were here(track).

If you ever have an oportunity to hear i live version of wish you were here in 77 that will answer which one you like more. Wish you were here improves 10fold

Animals, but it is close.

I love the epic 'Dogs' so much that this Animals gets a lot of play, whereas WYWH doen't hit that standard anywhere throughout, IMO. There are great songs on there, but none as great.

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!
