I'm not someone who has to carry every album I own around with me, just every Genesis and Gentle Giant album

I've got about 2700 songs. Most of which are commercial garbage that I used to like a number of years ago.

Same here, the thing looks like an aluminum tape deck or something.

...And I still have to delete all of the Godsmack/Green Day/Chevelle/Hoobastank/Limp Bizkit, etc... the list goes on and on. I need some real music badly. Most of the good bands I have are local prog/experimental, and jazz bands.

1885 songs.  That's a week of music.

I love my 'pod, but when I want to listen to an entire album (as opposed to a playlist) I'll pull out the CD.  I don't download.

I've maxed out my 20gb ipod, about 4200 songs. 90% of it is either prog or jazz. I don't do the whole download single songs crap, I will only put a complete album on it. Unless its a freebie from progarchives, of course.

Speaking of mp3 players... I'm going to format mine today! A Creative Zen Touch (20gb) yeah, such a hassle to update and put new songs on, i had to reinstall the driver for it, but i have to restart my comp, argh! i don't want to restart it >.>
Lots to delete like the dance albums etc, so i'm just gonna wipe it all in one go.

2426 songs on Zen

2891 on comp
- 888 (dance)
- 1856 (metal/prog etc)

that amount off songs on Zen will decrease once i'm finished with it.

Creatives are much better, IMO.
