I also think it's the best collection yet! Lot's of the old mixed with lot's of the new. Nice to see you aren't just stuck in a 70's timewarp like many posters. 10/10 also

Progger, thank you. I was huge into the 70s almost exclusively until early this year, but I had my revelation, and I now appreciate all sides of prog.

Thanks everybody.

You have a quite "clever" collection, the best albums of the best bands. Some further recommendations:

  • Heaven's Cry - Food For Thought Substitute / Primal Power Addiction
  • Ice Age - The Great Divide
  • Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Of Natural History
  • Mr. Bungle - Everything
  • Adagio - Underworld

BTW: Nice to see that I'm not the only Meat Loaf fan ...

I shall try and look those up, thanks Mike.

As for SGM, I gave some stuff a listen, and it was, well, odd. But, that was a bit ago, and I've grown in experimentation since then, so maybe I'll take more to it now.

Trust me, Arsillus, I'm getting more Rush. Or at least trying to. I love 2112, so I would really like more of them.

Great collection.  Especially on the Symph prog side. I would recommend Somewhere to Elsewhere and Song For America by Kansas and try the two Proto-Kaw CD's too.  For new bands Try I Move by Izz and Cryptic Visons only CD Moments of Clarity.  Salem Hill is good too. A little light on fusion and jazz influenced prog though.  Try Return to Forevers Romatic Warrior to start with.
