Frank Zappa (vocals, bass [I believe he can play that] and weirdness) John Lennon (vocals, guitar) Bon Scott (vocals) John 'Bonzo' Bonham (drums) Well, that's a weird combination, isn't it? |

psychedelia, whether it falls into progressive, all that aside, John Cippolini, Quicksilver Messenger Service, that is some guitar like I've never heard ; i.e. Happy Trails, http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000002UTY/qid =1086373561/sr=8-2/ref=pd_ka_2/102-3748495-5082524?v=glance& amp;s=music&n=507846 ; I really am an aficionado of that album, if not the whole S.F. scene that this post would need to mention Jerry Garcia as well. I've found, some people might not step up, to claim listening to the Dead. I will say, "Wake of the Flood', seems progressive, very good in the vein of this site. I rarely put on the Dead, have sort of outgrown that, but they have there moments. In the Western U.S., in pockets, that mode of music, Hot Tuna, etc. is gigantically popular. I walked in downtown Boulder Colorado, some 10 years ago, there main street, Pearl; and as a cohort of mine said, you would think, it was 1969. |

HI, THIS IS CÉSAR INCA. I don't now if they would actually enjoy it in heaven, but... how about this jam session band: Roly (former Ozric Tentacles, on bass), Michael Karoli (formar Can, on guitar, electric violin and effects), Brian Jones (guitar, some keyboards, sitar, and a couple of other unusual instruments), Florian Fricke (former Popol Vuh, keyboards)... on drums? Any one knows any dead celebrity in the realm of avantgarde/acid-jazz drummers? Regards. |

actually, I'd be quite pleased if I ever got to see Nick Drake on his own!
![]() Or Josh Clayton-Felt...so put those two together, on vocals and guitars, and add, say, John Entwhistle on bass and some darn good drummer! ![]() ![]() |

Nick Drake/Bonn Scott - Vocals
Frank Zappa - Guitar Pete Bardens - Keyboards Keith Moon - Drums When Geddy Lee passes onto the next world (which I obviously hope will not be for many many years!!) he can join my celestial band. John Bonham can stand in for Moon the loon, while he's doing session work in hell. |

HI, THIS IS CÉSAR INCA. One question... what could Bardens and Hendrix achieve together? I bet Keith would get bored with Bardens pretty soon, and so would Frank with Keith. I'd rather match Bardens with his old pal Sacha van Geest (Supersister's late flautist), and organize an audition for a great drummer and a great bassist (and maybe, a great guitarist, too) with a clear leaning toward avant-garde jazz and electric blues, with a progressive twist. Even in heaven I guess that musical compatibility must be an item to consider when forming a band!! Regards.
