About the meeting, it wouldn't work because Newer Prog metal
fans are usually 15-25 and tr00000000000 proggies are like
40-50 and to tell the truth, daddies and sons don't really agree
on stuff.

So i suggest two meetings in each country: one for the young who like DT and prog metal, and that kind of cheesy stuffs and another for the real proggers, old or not.

And what better country to organise a meeting of the fans of cheesy stuff than France!

I agree with such a meeting, but considering ELP and DT fans on one side and political differences on the other one, I would ask our friends from the States to leave the fire weapons at home.

These are still allowed:

It's going to be a funny meeting!!!

Bugger that for a lark, I vote we meet in the Carribean. If there are going to be arguments and discord, I'd rather be wearing Bermuda shorts and drinking a coctail out of a coconut shell.

The ideal would be to organize this meeting at a concert in Paris or London. (or somewhere central)

North Americans could do that in Montreal since there are lots Quebecois (between 10 and 15) on the Forum

Sorry to quote myself, but i find curious that i've never seen a german member on this site, considering that Germany has done so much great prog!
So, if ther's agerman fellow somewhere on the site, it's the moment to show yourself!

There are at least two germans : Dieter Fischer who has his nickname Hdfsch (or something like that) and Diddy who also write reviews.

As for Italians , this BELVA guy just got the boot if we can believe Manunkind but there is also Lethe who writes reviews.

Yes, BELVA's no more, you'll find that his posts now bear the 'Guests' signature. There are some other Italians here, though, for example MorgothSunshine.

And as for the Germans - Miaugion's German, isn't he?

Yes, it's a regular PARADISE at the non-prog mental convention, with all and sundry getting along swimmingly!

Meanwhile, in the sequestered Dream Theater and metal section, Maani and the Unfallen Collaborators have descended to mete out punishment, and restore order:

Sorry, it would appear I'm blind to medieval painting and that maani's wrath can't reach me

I volunteer my city...it's not good for much, but it excels at hosting international conventions!

Sorry James, but, as I've indicated before, we need a large open plain

If Nevada has plenty of anything it's space. The ELP and DT wars could happen in the same place, just outside the city, where they filmed the Shatner/ Stewart/ McDowell battle in "Star Trek: Generations".
