His ass? Buggles is two people and Jon Anderson is only small, so he wouldn't stand much of a chance. I also reckon he wouldn't hit someone wearing glasses.

I would like to see a death match between Peter Hammill and Jon Anderson, in which only singing would be allowed. Peter Hammill would literally shout the angelically singing Jon Anderson to death .  (Not that I dislike the vocals of Jon Anderson, but when it comes to shouting Hammill beats him hands down.)

just now I have a mental image of Anderson pirouetting over and over from a blast by Hammill.

Ian Anderson vs. Robby Steinhardt (violinist from Kansas)...  Hmm...  I would have to go with the Mr. Anderson.

I guess Fripp vs. Hackett wouldn't work since neither would leave their seat in the corner.

Jon Anderson might have an airy-fairy image, BaldJean, but by all accounts he is a bit 'harder' than many suspect.

He used to be a lorry driver in the north of England, after all, and the story goes he decided to become a singer while delivering beer crates at the Cavern in Liverpool and seeing the Beatles. In the early days of Yes he was dubbed 'The Hippie with the Iron Hand' because of his dictatorial attitude.

He also spent several years playing on the German gig circuit in the mid-60s and from what I've read that wasn't a place for the faint-hearted.

So actually Hamill vs Anderson might not be the walkover you would think - although Anderson might need ear plugs to cope with the Hammill caterwaul.

At least it would probably be a bit closer than Sean (chicken) Trane against your sister's 6'6" decathlete boyfriend (see multiple identities thread)

Fripp vs. Mel Collins, Ian McDonald, David Cross, Peter Sinfield. Boz Burrell

Idk I would just enjoy all those Crimson members past beating the crap out of Fripp for the hell he put them through and the way he treated them

Actually I would rather see Robby take on Don Kirshner.
