Emerson, Lake and Palmer threads. Dream Theater ones are in abundance, to be sure, but many of them are nonetheless interesting.

Even the most innane thread (usually) has a little nugget of wisdom hidden within it, somewhere. The skill is to find it and syphon out the dross.
BTW, Mariah Carey thread best ever, every post a gem.
