Hello everyone!

I just joined this forum today (this morning here in Finland, actually -it's been yet another long night in front of the computer, lol) Anyway, glad to become part of this prog community and very much looking forward to posting and learning more and more about progressive rock.

I'm a bit of a newbie to the field, really, as I have only been aware of prog for the last two years. Internet has enabled me to become seriously addicted to it, though, and it has become something of a passion for me in this relatively advanced age of 33 (many of you appear to be more or less a decade younger...!)

I really like all the prog bands I have so far introduced myself to: Yes, Genesis, Rush, King Crimson, VdGG, Caravan, Camel, Jethro Tull...oh, and if Pink Floyd counts then definitely them, as well! I'm not too familiar with more recent prog but Porcupine Tree is listenable, and Marillion has done some terrific things. Dream Theater I can live without

Let the discussion begin... But first, I do need some sleep, badly!

I had a day off today so was able to go on a bit of a net binge yesterday night and this morning, lol. My work does not involve using computers, which is a blessing, really -I would be fired in no time!

Oh, and thanks to you all for the warm welcomes. Also, nice to have people from my native country here.
